Job summary

Airbnb's ML team in Assistance Engineering is advancing Agentic AI to power customer service, including the Chat AI and Voice AI assistants. You will shape ideas from inception to production, delivering scalable, proactive AI experiences that improve guest and host interactions.

This role focuses on building cutting-edge ML systems, collaborating across product and design, and staying at the forefront of SOTA architectures. You will work on cross-functional initiatives and mentor others.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in CS/ML/AI or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on LLM expertise including pretraining, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Experience building Agentic AI systems at scale.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Champion development of novel ML systems and performance optimizations.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deploy AI solutions for CS products.
