Job summary
Airbnb in San Francisco is seeking a senior ML engineer to drive the Assistance Engineering team, applying Generative AI to deliver scalable, proactive customer service. You will own and evolve ML systems powering Trust, Payments and CSxAI initiatives to enable an intelligent, responsive support experience.
The role requires a PhD or Master’s in CS (or equivalent) and 9+ years of ML engineering experience with ownership of large-scale software systems.

- PhD or Master’s degree in CS, or equivalent experience.
- 9+ years of ML engineering experience with ownership over large-scale software systems.
- Experience with AI/ML systems and services, building scalable ML-powered products.
Responsibilities
- Envision, champion, and support the development of novel ML systems, product integrations, and performance optimizations to solve real-world problems.
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to design and build efficient AI solutions for Airbnb CS products.
- Learn and share the latest AI/ML technologies with the team.
