Job summary

Elliptic is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design and ship agentic workflows and LLM-powered features for its copilot product. You’ll own parts of the AI stack, from design decisions to production delivery, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You’ll work with product, web, and data teams, building backend services in TypeScript/Node.js, and shaping evaluation frameworks and observability practices to ensure reliability and performance in real time.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of software engineering experience
• Production experience with LLM-powered features
• Hands-on with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar
• Experience building agentic systems and tools integrations
• Prompt engineering, context management, and LLM trade-offs
• Strong backend skills in TypeScript/Node.js and API design
• Cloud experience (AWS)
• Database experience (Postgres and NoSQL)
• Mentoring and coaching engineers
• Proficient use of AI coding assistants in daily workflow

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows and AI-powered features for Elliptic's copilot
• Lead design of agents, tools, and retrieval pipelines for investigators
• Develop evaluation frameworks for LLM outputs for reliability and latency
• Build backend services, APIs, and event-driven systems using TypeScript and Node.js
• Drive technical design reviews and architecture decisions for AI streams
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pairing
• Raise engineering bar with testing, observability, and reliability
• Influence cross-team decisions on AI capabilities integration
