Job summary

Ryan, LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and deliver robust, scalable, and secure AI-driven software systems in a hybrid setup across architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

You will translate business needs into agentic workflows, build production full-stack components (APIs, services, UIs), and collaborate with product, UX, QA, DevOps, and staff engineers to ensure correctness, safety, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building agentic systems with LLMs.
• Experience with tool-use, orchestration, and verification/validation patterns.
• Proficiency with agentic frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI).
• Full-stack capability across APIs, services, and UIs.
• Strong knowledge of .NET with ReactJS is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
• 6–9 years of software engineering experience delivering production-grade systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and document functional and technical specifications for mid-to-large components.
• Implement and review high-quality code with modern development practices.
• Conduct design and code reviews emphasizing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and support CI/CD improvements with QA and DevOps.
• Participate in infrastructure-as-code practices and cloud performance tuning.
• Define evaluation strategies for agent behavior using datasets and regression suites.
• Instrument and monitor agent behavior with traces, latency, and cost metrics.
• Design and execute unit/integration/automation tests and contribute to frameworks.
• Translate architecture into low-level designs and maintain artifacts with architects.
• Communicate trade-offs during design sessions and contribute to planning/estimation.
• Lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
