Vanta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the AI DX team to help shape autonomous software development for real engineering workflows. You will work closely with engineers to identify friction, build practical AI-enabled tooling, and improve reliability and adoption across teams.

You will build background-agent infrastructure, evaluate agent performance, and create evaluation sets with feedback loops to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Substantial industry software engineering experience.
• Experience taking technical leadership roles on teams or complex projects.
• Experience improving AI systems, creating evaluation sets, and driving quality through measurement and iteration.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience designing, building, testing, and operating reliable systems.

• Plan, build, and improve background-agent infrastructure for reliable, trackable automated engineering work.
• Develop systems for evaluating agent performance using task outcomes, quality measures, and other signals.
• Create evaluation sets and feedback loops to help AI systems improve over time through review, tuning, and correction.
• Improve how engineers discover and use shared AI tools and workflows.
• Evaluate AI development tools against real engineering needs and integrate useful ones.
• Develop visibility into which tools create friction and how they should evolve.
• Create guidance and documentation to help engineers adopt new AI-enabled practices.
• Improve code review workflows with feedback from real engineering work.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver thoughtful product tradeoffs and reliable delivery.
