Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced software engineer to advance Workday Financial system integrations in Bethesda, MD. You will drive AI-enabled improvements across finance processes and the Workday ecosystem.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, own design sessions, and mentor peers to elevate engineering quality. Build scalable, resilient systems with strong data integrity and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience developing new and enhancing existing Workday integrations.
• Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST).
• Strong XML and XSLT skills.
• Knowledge of Workday development tools (EIB, Workday Studio, Report Writer, BIRT).
• Practical experience using Generative AI tools in software engineering.
• Experience building scalable, resilient, available systems.
• 5+ years of Workday ecosystem software development.
• 3+ years in architecture and design.
• 2+ years in cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• 1+ years building AI-powered apps, chatbots, or agents.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IS.

Responsibilities

• Manage system integrations within the Workday Financial architecture.
• Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities in Finance processes and Workday ecosystems.
• Support Workday inbound/outbound integration issues and develop new integrations.
• Collaborate across the software lifecycle with cross-functional teams.
• Lead design sessions and code reviews to raise engineering quality.
• Ensure data integrity and reliable applications through analysis and documentation.
• Translate business specs into technical specs and change requests.
• Apply AI techniques to automate monitoring, testing, and support processes.
• Develop AI-powered solutions to improve Finance operations and UX.
• Use AI tools for troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Share knowledge via tech communities and mentoring.
