Beacon Software is seeking a senior Python and TypeScript engineer to lead a mature B2B SaaS platform. You will own the codebase, set the roadmap, and be measured on the value you create.

The role demands a generalist who can drive architecture, security, performance, and AI-enabled enhancements end-to-end on AWS. The successful candidate will work as the engineering leader for a profitable product, delivering robust systems, meaningful tests, and scalable deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• Senior Python and TypeScript engineer ready to own a large codebase from day one.
• You are a genuine generalist, comfortable across web, data, infra, and AI.
• Deep AWS cloud and SQL experience, with Kubernetes-based deployments.
• You have release engineering discipline and can ship production-grade software.
• Experience shipping AI-enabled features in a multi-tenant product is a plus.
• You’ve owned a system end-to-end, from design to on-call, with customer-facing accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical and product roadmap in partnership with product leadership and customers.
• Own architecture, code quality, security, data modeling, and release engineering.
• Ship AI features from plan to production, with guardrails and tenant safety.
• Operate as a team of one, prioritize ruthlessly, and document for future engineers.
• Increase velocity with trunk-based development, CI, and automated testing.
• Own operating costs and vendor relationships with sound engineering judgment.
• Maintain security and data handling standards and defend them to legal/compliance.
• Be the technical face of the business, communicating clearly with operators and customers.
