Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation, through Schwab Technology Services, is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Development and Engineering to lead AI-driven data pipelines and cloud integrations in the thinkorswim SAvE team.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, data scientists, and business partners to translate complex needs into secure, scalable systems, mentoring others and advancing production-ready AI capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of software/data engineering experience with enterprise-scale solutions.
Advanced Python development for data processing, system integrations & pipeline development.
Experience designing, developing, and supporting trading applications in cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Dataflow).
Experience integrating APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise applications.
Data accuracy management with validation and data lifecycle controls.
Strong problem solving and debugging skills; root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Experience developing automated testing strategies and test data.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver scalable, production-grade AI solutions.
Build Python-based data pipelines, integrations, and cloud solutions connecting enterprise apps with Generative AI and LLMs.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, data scientists, and business partners to translate complex needs into secure, reliable systems.
Strengthen testing, monitoring, observability, and operational practices; mentor others through knowledge sharing.
Move emerging AI concepts into production enabling value for business and clients.
