Job summary

X Energy, LLC is seeking a AI Solutions Engineer III to join the AI & Digital Engineering Tiger Team in Rockville, MD. You will design production‑level AI features, leverage Claude Code, and connect front-end dashboards to AWS services to accelerate Xe-100 reactor workflows.

The role spans front-end, agentic AI, data integration, and platform infra with hybrid in-office expectations three days per week, and close collaboration with senior engineers to meet nuclear‑engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Typically 5 years of software engineering experience in fast-paced teams.
• Experience with React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript tooling.
• Knowledge of AI/LLM ecosystems, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, and related frameworks.
• Proficiency with Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and AWS data/services.
• Strong collaboration across disciplines and ability to work hybrid in Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement front-end and full-stack features in a production AI platform.
• Develop AI-enabled solutions using agentic architectures and multi-turn workflows.
• Build and maintain data lakehouse integrations and API contracts.
• Implement secure auth, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable deployment patterns.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, licensing, and QA to meet regulatory standards.
• Document architecture decisions and provide knowledge transfer to teams.
• Contribute to platform infrastructure and devops practices including monitoring.
