Job summary

X-energy, located at 9801 Washingtonian Blvd, Gaithersburg, MD, seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer V to drive enterprise-wide adoption of the APEX platform. You will lead multi-team efforts across engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and operations to design, deploy, and scale AI-native solutions with a strong focus on agentic AI workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
15+ years of relevant experience in senior technical roles.
Advanced expertise in agentic AI workflows, LLM applications, and enterprise-scale AI solutions.
Extensive experience developing with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
Strong proficiency with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, AWS Bedrock, or other advanced AI frameworks.
Familiarity with Docker and Terraform; experience with CI/CD and GitLab.
Experience in nuclear energy, advanced manufacturing, or highly regulated fields.
Background in technical training, developer advocacy, or enterprise enablement.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of organization-wide training strategies and frameworks for APEX platform capabilities and agentic AI workflows.
Conduct advanced training sessions for executive sponsors, senior engineers, and functional leaders.
Establish and oversee a scalable operating model for office hours, support channels, and technical advisory services.
Deliver high-visibility presentations, demos, and roadshow sessions on new features and use cases.
Provide editorial and technical oversight for APEX blogs, videos, and content produced by junior team members.
Partner with the training organization to define curricula, certifications, and learning standards.
Lead planning and execution of APEX workshops, summits, and external-facing events.
Oversee intake, triage, and prioritization of stakeholder feedback for product planning.
Govern the APEX roadmap voting system and align with strategic priorities.
Act as escalation point for complex issues requiring deep technical investigation.
Architect and implement advanced agentic AI workflows addressing multi-department challenges.
Lead frontend work using React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Vite for reliable, scalable apps.
Architect backend services on AWS to support mission-critical AI-powered applications.
Mentor teams on prototyping approaches and AI-assisted development tools.
Document complex patterns and reference architectures for enterprise adoption.
