Job summary

X-energy LLC is hiring an AI & Digital Engineering Engineer to accelerate reactor development by designing AI-native applications and agentic workflows within a fast-paced tiger-team. You will apply modern LLMs, agentic AI, and cloud-native engineering to transform requirements, design, manufacturing, regulatory, and deployment processes into a living, queryable engineering model.

You will collaborate across systems engineering, licensing, and QA to ensure AI artifacts meet nuclear regulations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
• Experience with AI/ML in engineering or regulated domains.
• Hybrid schedule in Rockville, MD office.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in tiger-team to develop production-ready AI solutions.
• Leverage Claude Code and AI-assisted tools to accelerate development.
• Document architecture decisions and integration patterns.
• Ensure solutions meet nuclear engineering and regulatory expectations.
