Job summary

Trellis Company is seeking a Software Engineer IV in Round Rock, TX, to join the Distributed Applications team. You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise web, mobile, AI-enabled, and legacy applications, with a focus on Generative AI, LLMs, and AI-driven workflows.

Hybrid work includes two days in the office in Round Rock. The role requires strong Java/Spring skills, REST API development, and experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
• Five years of experience delivering technology solutions across application development, cloud services, data platforms, and AI-enabled tech.
• Experience developing, debugging, testing, deploying, and maintaining Java applications and RESTful web services.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling and cloud deployments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Experience building AI-enabled features, including integration with LLMs and RAG.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software features for web, mobile, AI, and legacy apps.
• Lead the technical implementation of projects from requirements to production release.
• Develop REST APIs, microservices, and backend services using Java and Spring.
• Build AI-enabled features using Generative AI, LLMs, and NLP techniques.
• Provide on-call production support and mentor junior engineers.
