Gen in New York seeks a Senior AI Search & SEO Strategist to lead discoverability for its cybersecurity and identity brands. You will shape how Gen's sites appear in organic search, AI surfaces, and across the open web, blending SEO craft with emerging Answer Engine Optimization.

You'll partner with editorial, product, and web teams to build briefs, run audits, and drive measurable improvements in traffic and brand visibility, while communicating strategy clearly to stakeholders in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on SEO and AEO experience with a focus on content strategy and organic performance.
• Ability to create content briefs and manage freelance writers and agencies.
• Strong analytics skills and ability to translate data into action plans.
• Experience with enterprise/global multi-brand sites and AI-powered search surfaces.
• Proficiency with SEO tooling (Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog).

Responsibilities

• Partner with SEO, web dev, UX, and product teams to align content with SEO and AI best practices.
• Oversee content audits, URL mappings, and refresh workflows for architecture and performance.
• Develop content briefs guiding editors and web teams for landing pages.
• Own monthly and quarterly SEO/AEO reporting with insights to inform strategy.
