Job summary

Ellucian is seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Project Manager to lead complex SaaS implementations for colleges and universities. You will coordinate technical and functional teams, manage AI-enabled delivery tools, and drive successful customer outcomes across enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate blends strong PM fundamentals with technical acumen, curiosity for AI, and the ability to operate in a matrixed environment while delivering value and results for higher education institutions.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience managing customer-facing technology projects.
AI-forward mindset with curiosity for AI and automation.
Experience leading complex projects involving integrations, APIs, data migration, cloud environments.
Technical fluency to read architecture/ designs and drive decisions.
Strong PM planning, risk, and stakeholder governance skills.
Experience with AI-enabled productivity tools or fast adoption of AI capabilities.
Excellent problem-solving and communication, translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Ability to lead in a matrixed environment with multiple priorities.
Experience with higher education enterprise systems preferred.
PM/CSM or cloud certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead complex customer-facing SaaS implementations from initiation through closeout.
Build relationships with client stakeholders and internal partners to align goals and outcomes.
Leverage AI, automation, and project data to streamline delivery and drive faster decisions.
Coordinate workstreams across architecture, integrations, data, environments, testing, security, and deployment.
Identify technical dependencies, risks, constraints, and critical path activities with IT stakeholders.
Translate technical concepts into clear project plans, milestones, and executive communications.
Apply PM disciplines across scope, schedule, resources, risk, and finance.
Facilitate resolution of complex issues by engaging the right resources.
Help customers adopt AI-enabled ways of working to reduce admin effort.
Foster a collaborative environment with standards and controls.
