Job summary

EverHealth, a unit within EverCommerce, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer IV to advance a revenue cycle management platform with AI-assisted workflows. You will guide frontend and backend work, APIs, and data modeling while coordinating with end users and business leaders.

You will mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and ensure secure, observable software delivery. This role offers remote work within the United States, with occasional travel to Denver or other North American offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leading technical direction for a team.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or equivalent languages, shipping production UI, backend, and APIs.
• Experience designing and building event-based systems, including message queues, event streams, and asynchronous workflows.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with modern databases, ORMs, and schema design.
• Proficient and productive in leveraging AI across all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of a full-stack RCM worklist platform, from UI through backend services, APIs, and data models.
• Build and evolve event-driven services and workflows routing work between people and AI agents.
• Design and maintain API/translation layer connecting platform with EverHealth products and external systems.
• Build code that invokes, coordinates, and monitors AI agents with guardrails and human review steps.
• Own data modeling and schema design, write performant SQL, and use ORMs effectively.
• Collaborate with end users, product, operations, and business leaders to define problems and measure outcomes.
• Share ownership of technical direction and engineering standards; mentor engineers through code reviews.
• Champion AI-assisted development across planning, design, coding, testing, and operations.
• Build secure, HIPAA-compliant software with testing, monitoring, and reliable operations.
• Identify and evaluate new opportunities for automation, AI, and new experiences across EverHealth.
