Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer to lead complex load testing across the application stack. You will design test strategies, drive automation, and collaborate with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 10+ years in performance testing, strong scripting in HTTP/HTML, MQ, Java, and TruClient, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable test plans. This is a hands-on leadership position based in the United States.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing.
Proficient in using VUGen 12 or later for advanced test script development.
Skilled in HTTP/HTML, MQ, Java, TruClient protocols.
Ability to design test flows and strategies and execute load tests.
Experience with profiling and monitoring tools to analyze bottlenecks.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Creates and optimizes test processes including defect management and reporting.
Creates and optimizes test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools.
Leads test planning for complex features across teams.
Designs a test automation strategy across UI, API, and Backend.
Ensures alignment and sign-off for test cases from stakeholders.
Manages test execution and communicates or escalates issues.
Designs test data and ensures data compliance in test environments.
Manages tasks from project initiation to completion (LRE scripting, strategy, testing, monitoring).
Leads performance defect triage meetings and drives solutions.
Coordinates with team members and stakeholders for root cause analysis.
Demonstrates expert-level communication skills.
