First Citizens Bank seeks an experienced performance/test engineering professional to own planning, testing, and production support for critical systems. You will lead technical support, mentor teams, and drive improvements in testing practices, monitoring, and automation across CI/CD pipelines.

The role demands hands-on scripting, system monitoring, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure scalable and reliable services for customer sales and service applications.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years' experience OR HS diploma with 10 years in systems engineering.
• Exposure to mainframe, desktop, Windows and UNIX system support.
• Exposure to server virtualization and Kubernetes.
• Mastery in directory and authentication services.
• Understanding of data warehouse principles and BI/reporting frameworks.
• Scripting languages such as JavaScript, C, Python, etc.
• Knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NetBEUI.
• Experience with DB2, SQL Server, Oracle tuning tools.
• Ability to be on call 24/7.

Responsabilidades

• Technical Support - Leads installation, testing of software, patches, and upgrades; resolves complex problems.
• Develop and maintain robust performance test scripts and automate testing.
• Solve complex scripting scenarios for performance testing in business workflows.
• Design and execute performance tests against web apps, APIs, queues and databases.
• Set and maintain performance testing standards aligned with industry best practices.
• Coordinate intake of project work and communicate with stakeholders on scope and assignments.
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins) for fast feedback.
• Analyze results, identify root causes, and document test reports for stakeholders.
• Educate teams on performance testing processes and best practices.
• Utilize monitoring tools (DynaTrace, Splunk, SolarWinds) for troubleshooting.
