Job summary

Common Consumer within Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for the Skynet eventing domain. You will implement and maintain production-grade components using C#/.NET, TypeScript/React, and Node.js, with Terraform and multi-region AWS.

You’ll drive spec-driven development with Claude Code, mentor peers, and influence architectural choices with senior engineers. You’ll work in Kansas City area, in-office 3 days a week, contributing to consent and communications decisioning platforms,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; 2–4+ years preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Proficient with C# / .NET and ASP.NET Core; REST APIs experience.
• Experience with AWS ECS/Fargate, Terraform, and MongoDB Atlas.
• Familiarity with TypeScript/React and modern frontend tooling.
• Demonstrated agile delivery experience and on-call readiness.
• Ability to design scalable, event-driven cloud architectures within a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Common Consumer platform capabilities end-to-end.
• Drive spec-driven development with AI-assisted tooling and reviews.
• Collaborate on architectural decisions and multi-region deployments.
• Own code quality, monitoring, incident response, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering culture.
• Define and enforce coding standards and best practices.
