Cox Automotive's Common Consumer team (Stratos) seeks a software engineer to build eventing infrastructure and collaborate with product managers. You will develop in C#, .NET, and JavaScript across AWS and SQL Server, contributing to shared services and dashboards.

The role emphasizes ownership, code quality, and collaboration with designers and engineers, with on-call rotations and Kansas City in-office presence three days a week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software development.
• Experience with C# and .NET.
• Familiar with event-driven architectures and pub/sub.
• Proficient in RESTful APIs and SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the team's core eventing infrastructure and integration points.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in high-throughput eventing pipelines.
• Collaborate with consuming teams to evolve event schemas and support backwards-compatible changes.
• Write clean, tested code using C#, .NET, and related frameworks.
• Contribute to broader shared services and AI tooling as needed.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle with focus on coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features.
