Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (IC4) for the AntiSpam and Delivery Engineering team in a hybrid role. You will drive solutions for high-volume spam detection, entity reputation, and email delivery pipelines, translating ambiguous requirements into resilient architectures.

You will mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews, and advance AI-enabled workflows while shaping reliable production systems across GCP and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development in Java, Go, or C++.
• 2+ years designing, owning, and operating large-scale distributed server apps.
• BS/MS in CS/CE or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools to speed coding and debugging.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, OS, and networking.
• Experience building cloud-native apps with CI/CD automation (GCP/AWS).
• Ability to lead initiatives, guide architecture, and mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain high-concurrency microservices in Java and Go.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering practices and leverage LLM capabilities.
• Lead architecture reviews and enforce code quality and CD pipelines.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, telemetry, and CI/CD across cloud/hybrid envs.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote engineering excellence.
• Evaluate new AI tools and frameworks to modernize workflows.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into resilient, scalable designs.
