Job summary
Skydio is seeking a hands-on developer tools leader to build and scale our agentic coding platform. You will work across the codebase, CI/CD pipelines, and internal infrastructure to deliver secure, scalable tools that accelerate engineering velocity and reduce cognitive load for hundreds of Skydio engineers.
You’ll partner with firmware, autonomy, cloud, and apps teams to identify bottlenecks, implement guardrails, and drive broad adoption of innovative internal AI development tools.
Qualifications
- 5+ years building developer tools, infrastructure, or platform systems.
- Hands-on experience with LLM-based tools and agents, not just usage.
- Strong grounding in Python/Go/TypeScript/C++, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure AWS/GCP.
- Product mindset toward internal users: communicate, ship quickly, iterate.
- Experience with security-sensitive environments or monorepos.
Responsibilities
- Build the platform that enables AI coding agents in Skydio’s engineering workflow.
- Design guardrails: permissions, secrets handling, auditability for agents with code access.
- Develop infrastructure to deploy internal tools and agents quickly.
- Collaborate with firmware, autonomy, cloud, and apps teams to remove workflow bottlenecks.
- Measure adoption, cycle time, and quality; set priorities from data.
- Drive internal adoption of AI development tools and deliver real value.
