Job summary

Skydio, Inc. in San Mateo, CA, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the AI Infrastructure Development Platform.

You will build tools and platforms that embed AI agents into Skydio engineers’ daily workflows, working across codebases, CI, and internal infrastructure to deliver secure, scalable solutions. You will partner with firmware, autonomy, cloud, and apps teams, driving adoption and measuring impact on developer velocity and quality.

Qualifications

5+ years building developer tools, infrastructure, or platform systems.
Hands-on experience with LLM-based tools and agents.
Strong grounding in Python/Go/TypeScript/C++, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure AWS/GCP.
A product mindset toward internal users: you talk to them, ship quickly, and iterate.
Experience with security-sensitive environments or monorepos.

Responsibilities

Build agentic coding platform, integrations, MCP servers, and sandboxed execution.
Design guardrails: permissions, secrets handling, and auditability.
Build the infrastructure to rapidly deploy internal tools and agents.
Embed with firmware, autonomy, cloud, and apps teams to remove workflow bottlenecks.
Measure adoption, cycle time, and quality to guide priorities.
Drive adoption by being the internal expert on AI development tools.
