Job summary

D2 Technical Services seeks a Senior AI Developer with TS/SCI clearance to support an intelligence customer in Springfield, VA. You will integrate data streams, migrate cloud platforms, and create AI features for ontology-based software within a mission-focused team.

Join a Scrum team applying DevSecOps to deliver secure, scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS/OpenShift/Kubernetes, while mentoring junior developers and driving technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in secure, scalable software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/SE or related field, or 3 additional IT years.
• Senior-level experience designing, developing, and maintaining mission-focused applications.
• Strong programming experience with Python, Java, and Scala.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs, Git-based workflows, automated tests, CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on Docker/containerization, microservices, Helm, and development container environments.
• Experience developing applications using Generative AI technologies (RAG, LLMs).
• Experience deploying cloud-native apps using AWS, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
• Experience integrating and managing data from multiple sources/networks.
• DevSecOps principles including code hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to troubleshoot and collaborate across development, security, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Integrate multiple data streams into customer system.
• Complete Cloud platform migrations between platforms.
• Develop AI features for ontology-based software applications.
• Create sustainable software with efficient branching and committed repos.
• Work in an Agile Scrum team and participate in ceremonies.
• Implement requirements from the product backlog and write backlog items.
• Utilize modern DevSecOps approaches in building applications.
• Develop and modify applications, services, and IT systems supporting analysts.
