D2 Technical Services in Springfield, VA seeks an experienced AI Developer with TS/SCI clearance to join our agile team. You will integrate data streams, migrate cloud platforms, and build AI features for ontology-based software apps.

Applicants should have 5+ years of software development, a CS-related degree (or additional IT experience), and hands-on experience with Python/Java/Scala, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native stacks like AWS/OpenShift.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in secure, mission-focused environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or 3 additional years of IT experience.
• Strong backend development with Python, Java and Scala.
• Experience creating RESTful APIs, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on Docker/containerization, microservices, Helm, and development containers.
• Familiarity with Generative AI (RAG, LLMs) and cloud-native apps (AWS/OpenShift/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Integrate multiple data streams into customer systems.
• Lead cloud platform migrations and modernize software delivery.
• Develop AI features for ontology-based apps.
• Maintain sustainable software with efficient branching and repos.
• Collaborate in an agile Scrum team and participate in ceremonies.
• Write backlog items and translate requirements into user stories.
• Follow DevSecOps practices for secure development and automation.
• Design, deploy, and support cloud-native apps and data integration.
