Berkeley Research Group, LLC is launching a new Financial Institution Operations & Technology practice. You will lead hands-on engineering workstreams turning AI capabilities into practical tools for financial services teams, building secure, accessible applications that fit real operating workflows.

You will collaborate with the AI Co-lab and vendor partners, mentor engineers, and help deliver reusable components and digital assets, with opportunities to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of prior applicable work experience required for Managing Consultant level; 6+ years for Sr. Managing Consultant.
• Strong TypeScript skills with React or similar frontend frameworks, including state management and accessible design.
• Ability to build and test Python or Node.js APIs and backend services with persistence and error handling.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, secure sessions and audit logging.
• Design reliable integrations and interactive workflows using REST, streaming, queues, and asynchronous processing.
• Delivery of applications with automated testing, version control, CI/CD, cloud deployment, monitoring, and accessibility checks.
• Ability to lead a complex technical workstream, mentor engineers, and collaborate with client users and technology teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead full-stack engineering workstreams from workflow discovery through production handover, coordinating design, dependencies, and risks with client teams.
• Build responsive interfaces in TypeScript with React or comparable frameworks for complex operational tasks.
• Develop Python or Node.js APIs and backend services connecting user workflows to AI capabilities, business rules, data products, and client systems.
• Implement human-review workflows with evidence displays, editable outputs, approvals, exception queues, and escalation paths.
• Build authentication, RBAC, secure sessions, and audit trails aligned with security and risk teams.
• Integrate enterprise platforms and AI services using APIs, event-driven patterns, streaming responses, and asynchronous jobs with robust error handling.
• Establish automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, deployment pipelines, accessibility checks, and production support procedures.
• Mentor engineers and review designs while collaborating with data, AI, change, and risk colleagues to improve adoption and workflow performance.
• Turn proven workflows into reusable components and digital assets, contributing to future pursuits.
