Job summary

EY is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to own the stateful backbone of EY’s AI-native platform, spanning relational, vector, graph, and object stores across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped environments.

You will manage durable workflows, event streaming, and schema governance while maintaining strict data consistency and portability for multi-tenant workloads. This role requires deep data-infrastructure expertise and strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years operating production data infrastructure, streaming systems, or databases.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL and caching, including HA, replication, and backup/recovery.
• Exposure to AI/ML data patterns and state/feature stores.
• Production experience with vector/graph databases in AI contexts.
• Experience with Kafka/NATS and CDC, Flink, and schema governance tools.
• Experience running stateful systems on Kubernetes with durable storage.
• Ability to define clear ownership and data contracts with teams.

Responsibilities

• Own memory and data stores across environments and tenants.
• Own event streaming and async messaging pipelines and schemas.
• Ensure data durability, consistency, and recoverability with backups and PITR.
• Build and operate streaming and CDC pipelines with governance.
• Make state multi-tenant with isolation and consistent semantics.
• Provide data and lineage substrate for governance and AI capabilities.
