Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino is seeking an AIML Privacy & Data Governance Engineering Lead to drive data mappings, logs analysis, and data flow diagrams that underpin AIML's data strategy.

You will collaborate across engineering, data science, legal, and privacy teams to ensure privacy by design and robust data governance. You will codify data practices — collection, usage, governance, and retention — into internal policies, working with Privacy Engineering and Compliance teams to guide feature

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in privacy, logging, and/or data governance.
• Proven ability to perform technical privacy analysis and reviews, and to push privacy efforts cross-functionally.
• Strong understanding of privacy, data governance, and AI regulations, including CCPA, GDPR, DMA, and the EU AI Act.
• Experience developing and driving data logging and usage strategies, providing privacy guidance, and performing risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain updated data mappings showing the data lifecycles across AIML and Siri products.
• Manage AIML’s and Siri’s data usage policies, including creating new policies as required.
• Provide privacy guidance to engineering teams early in the development process, and assist Privacy Engineering during the privacy review process.
• Manage AIMLs and Siri’s data governance policies, and partner with EPM on meeting company-wide governance requirements.
• Advocate for engineering designs that enable the business while exceeding on user privacy expectations.
