Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Orlando, FL is seeking a Data Engineer III to design and deliver AI-powered data platforms across Disney Experiences Intelligence. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, work with cloud-native technologies, and partner with Data Strategy and AI Innovation teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL/Python/Java, and hands-on experience with Spark, Snowflake, AWS, and GCP.

Qualifications

5+ years of related work experience.
Strong data engineering skills in ETL/ELT, data architecture, and the data lifecycle.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, and Apache Spark; SQL/TSQL expertise.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Snowflake, BigQuery, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, HBase, Cassandra).
Familiarity with AWS and GCP cloud technologies.
Comfortable in Agile/Scrum environments.
Proficiency in OO programming and Big Data concepts.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and supervise data architectures, data pipelines, and data integration from diverse sources.
Develop efficient data workflows with cloud and on‑prem storage, ensuring performance and scalability.
Apply data cleansing, transformation, and AI/ML preparation techniques.
Uphold design standards and QA for data platforms and ensure data integrity across data connections.
Align data operations with business objectives and strategic priorities.
Stay current with emerging data technologies.
Provide support and enhancements for existing tools as needed.
