Job summary

The Walt Disney Company, Disney Experiences Intelligence, is seeking a Senior AI / Data Engineer to design and implement end-to-end data pipelines, AI-powered applications, and scalable data platforms. The role emphasizes engineering-focused problem solving, cloud-native technologies, and collaboration with Data Strategy and AI teams.

You will work within a fast-paced, AI-driven environment, evolving with new capabilities and delivering robust data solutions for Disney’s premier vacation brands.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• Proficiency in data pipelining, ELT/ETL, data architecture, and data lifecycle.
• Strong development skills in SQL, Python, Java, and Spark with SQL/TSQL expertise.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Snowflake, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, HBase, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Comfortable in Agile environments with Scrum practices.
• Proficiency in OOP and Big Data concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and supervise architecture and software for capturing, managing, and using structured and unstructured data.
• Develop processes to streamline data flow, storage, and routing using cloud and local storage.
• Apply tools for data cleansing, transformation, and upkeep, integrating AI/ML methodologies.
• Uphold design standards and QA for data connections, transmissions, and storage.
• Align data operations with organizational priorities and evolving business needs.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and provide operational support as needed.
• Collaborate with Data Strategy and AI Innovation teams to turn strategy into solutions.
