Job summary

Truist in Atlanta is seeking an experienced AI and data governance leader to design and implement enterprise governance artifacts. You will develop policies, standards, and procedures while partnering with risk, compliance, technology, and audit teams to meet regulatory commitments and drive scalable solutions.

The role requires strong communication, executive-level presentation skills, and the ability to translate complex requirements into clear business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in AI and data.
  • Strong knowledge of AI models, data architectures, and analytics methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and publication of enterprise governance artifacts including policies, standards, frameworks, and guidance.
  • Partner with Business Units, Corporate Functions, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Audit to implement governance requirements across the enterprise.
  • Drive governance initiatives from concept through implementation with stakeholder engagement, requirement gathering, drafting, review, approval, and publication.
  • Manage governance-related findings, issues, regulatory commitments, and remediation activities.
  • Coordinate enterprise review cycles, challenge sessions, and governance forums.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations, briefing materials, and decision papers for senior leadership.
  • Monitor adherence to governance requirements and support reporting, metrics, and issue escalation processes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to gain alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.

Job Description

Designs, develops, and implements AI capabilities and data-driven solutions and leads large technical initiatives to address complex business challenges. Builds advanced AI models and data architectures to improve system accuracy, efficiency, and resilience, applying AI and analytics to generate actionable insights that support strategic decisions.

  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide regulatory or transformation programs.
  • Operates independently with limited supervision.
  • Comfortable working with senior leaders and challenging stakeholders when necessary.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Effective at driving consensus in ambiguous situations.
  • Balances strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
