Job summary

Truist seeks a senior AI/Data leader to oversee group-wide AI and data strategies, directing model development and governance to improve business processes and system performance.

You will mentor teams, drive innovation, and influence leadership decisions, while collaborating with stakeholders to apply AI and analytics to real-world problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, data science, AI, software engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional AI/data experience with progressive management responsibilities.
• Proven experience leading teams and delivering AI/data-driven solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AI models, data architectures, and analytics methodologies.

• Oversees development and deployment of AI models and data architectures to enhance business processes and system performance.
• Leads collaboration across teams to integrate AI solutions into business applications and workflows.
• Conducts experiments and assesses AI initiative performance to drive continuous improvement.
• Promotes innovation by contributing to intellectual property and advancing AI capabilities.
• Manages multiple AI and data teams led by lower-level Management.
• Develops and enforces AI and data governance standards aligned with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
• Coaches and mentors teammates to build AI expertise and foster a data-driven culture.
• Frequently influences business decisions made by leadership.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to identify real-world problems and apply AI and analytics for actionable insights.

Education

• Strong knowledge of AI models, data architectures, and analytics methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Expertise in solution designs based upon business requirements.
• Strong knowledge of unstructured data management, retention, and disposition tools and technologies.
• Experience in building financial services strategies for managing the lifecycle of unstructured data for use with AI.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data governance frameworks
• Experience designing and implementing business and technical controls to mitigate data and AI risks within business processes.
