PTC Inc. is seeking a Senior Enterprise AI Control Plane Engineer in the Boston area to set up and operate our governance layer for AI agents and MCP gateways.

The role focuses on secure, observable configuration across MCP servers and gateways, with strong collaboration across security, architecture, and business teams. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in API management and platform engineering, with hands-on experience in gateways, RBAC, and observability.

Qualifikationen

• 5–8 years of experience in enterprise integration, API management, platform engineering or related roles.
• Strong understanding of API governance, API security, lifecycle management, policies and observability.
• Experience with authentication and access control patterns (OAuth, OIDC, JWT, API keys, RBAC, SSO).

Aufgaben

• Configure and operate the Enterprise AI Control Plane, including MCP gateways, LLM gateways, policies, access control, observability, and governance.
• Onboard internal and vendor MCP servers through a common gateway for secure, observable agent access.
• Define governance patterns for AI agents, MCP tools, model access, rate limits, logging, approvals, and usage tracking.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate AI agent use cases into secure platform configurations.
• Work with security and architecture teams on authentication, authorization, audit logging, and policy enforcement.
• Support discovery, cataloging, and lifecycle management of AI agents, MCP servers, and tools.
• Build dashboards and reports for agent usage, MCP tool usage, LLM usage, errors, latency, and policy violations.
• Create onboarding guides, runbooks, and best practices for AI agent integrations.
