Job summary

G2i Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Training to evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end-to-end. You’ll judge usefulness, correctness, and engineering judgment, and provide clear written feedback from a senior perspective.

You’ll work remotely on a flexible schedule, with worldwide availability and weekly hours ranging around 10-20. This is a contract role focusing on assessment rather than production coding.

Qualifications

• Senior, Staff or Principal-level engineer (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI Codex, Claude Code or Cursor.
• Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows.
• Strong written and spoken English (B2 or above).
• Comfortable giving direct, opinionated feedback.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end.
• Judge usefulness, correctness at a high level, and alignment with how a strong engineer would think.
• Assess the quality of explanations and reasoning, not just the code.
• Distinguish between levels of response quality (2 vs 4).
• Provide clear, written feedback on what worked, what didn’t, and what felt off.
• Help define what great looks like when using Cursor, Codex and Claude Code.
