Job summary

Spinwheel Solutions Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior Security Engineer to own the security posture of our platform, infrastructure, and AI-driven systems. You will harden infrastructure, close vulnerabilities, and build guardrails for safe AI workflows.

As a remote-first company, we welcome applicants nationwide in the United States or Canada. You will work closely with Engineering to secure production systems, improve secure development practices, and ensure monitoring and incident response

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on security engineering experience in cloud, infra, or DevSecOps environments.
• Exceptional knowledge of AWS and security tooling.
• Proven track record remediating vulnerabilities in live production systems.
• Self-starter with ability to drive projects in a fast-moving startup.
• Strong communication to explain security issues to engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Secure and harden cloud infrastructure, apps, APIs, and internal systems.
• Implement and maintain security controls across production and CI/CD pipelines.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and improve secure development practices.
• Ensure encryption, secrets management, logging, and access controls are in place.
