Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology and Operations (GTO) team is seeking a Sr. Analyst, AI Billing & Data Intelligence to build the data, billing, and consumption intelligence foundation across AI platforms. This role ensures accuracy of usage data, enables cost transparency, and provides actionable insights for investments and governance.

Location: hybrid in Cary, NC with minimum 3 in-office days. You will deliver dashboards, data models, and reports that reveal AI costs, usage trends, and budget

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, TBM, FinOps, cost management, data analytics within a technology organization.
• Experience translating consumption, billing, and financial data into actionable insights.
• Familiarity with AI platforms and tools and the financial models for allocation and governance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL.
• Experience partnering with tech, finance, and business stakeholders on budgeting and forecasting.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, IT, business analytics, economics, data science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI billing, metering, and consumption data models for enterprise reporting and cost transparency.
• Manage and reconcile AI usage, token consumption, and billing data across vendors and platforms.
• Deliver dashboards and analytics showing AI costs, utilization trends, and budget performance.
• Identify and investigate consumption anomalies, cost variances, and optimization opportunities with cross-functional teams.
• Support development of AI allocation, forecasting, governance, and value realization processes.
