Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Backend AI Software Integration Engineer to build a multi-tenant GenAI Security Platform. You will focus on backend Python services, API endpoints, and integration hooks to embed Prisma AIRS across enterprise AI pipelines.

You will work on asynchronous microservices, data ingestion, webhook receivers, and security controls, collaborating with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and MCP teams while ensuring scalable, secure AI workloads.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Software Engineering with backend focus
• Production-level Python for asynchronous services
• Experience with API frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, or gRPC)
• Experience with REST, gRPC, WebSockets and API gateways
• Data transformation and middleware/webhooks development
• Experience integrating LLM APIs, vector storage, and agent protocols

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance Python backend services
• Create API endpoints, webhook receivers, and data ingestion hooks
• Develop middleware for AI gateway integrations with LangChain, LlamaIndex, MCP
• Document architecture with diagrams and blueprints (Lucidchart) for Prisma AIRS points
• Build automated red-teaming pipelines and secure AI workloads
• Provide partner documentation and SDKs to speed integrations
• Travel as needed
