Job summary

Recruit CRM is seeking a Senior AI Engineer / Backend Engineer to join a small team in Mexico, remotely as a contractor for 3 months. The role focuses on building MCP servers in Python, integrating enterprise APIs, and deploying on Kubernetes. Strong experience with Python, async programming, and OAuth 2.0 is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• 3+ years working with Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop MCP servers in Python using the MCP SDK and frameworks.
• Define tool specs including authentication, rate limits, pagination, and data handling.
• Build asynchronous API clients for enterprise SaaS and data platforms with authentication and retries.
• Design model-friendly tool interfaces using Pydantic schemas for LLM evaluation.
• Integrate services with OAuth and authentication mechanisms securely.
• Implement caching and quota protection for third-party APIs.
• Develop unit and integration tests with pytest against sandbox environments.
• Support security practices: least-privilege, audit logging, safe handling of data.
• Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes with Helm or Kustomize and CI/CD pipelines.
• Configure observability: structured logging, metrics, tracing.
• Create technical specs and docs; collaborate across teams from design to production deployment.
