Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Generative AI Applications Engineer to build and scale the Agentforce Reasoning Engine, a Python/FastAPI service orchestrating multi-agent workflows for thousands of tenants. You will own backend services, manage session state with Redis, and collaborate with AI Platform and Software Engineers to deliver production AI systems.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years building production AI systems, strong Python and async services skills, and experience with Redis, Kafka,

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production AI systems and backend services.
• BS/MS in CS/Software Eng or related STEM.
• Strong Python, async services experience (FastAPI).
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with LLMs integration and prompt engineering.
• Proven ability to deliver results at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build and own end-to-end scalable backend services for multi-agent orchestration.
• Design and improve stateful session management with Redis.
• Improve system efficiency via automation, capacity planning, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
• Participate in on-call rotations and resolve critical issues.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Application Architects, and AI researchers to deploy agent reasoning.
