Job summary

PharmaEssentia Corporation in Burlington, Massachusetts, seeks an AI Engineering & Architecture Lead to own PharmaEssentia’s AI architecture and build the engineering team. This is the most important single hire in the Global Data & AI Enablement plan to create in-house AI capability.

Reporting to the Head of Global Data & AI Enablement, you will turn governed data assets into production AI applications and agents that change how commercial teams operate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; technical degree preferred.
• 10+ years in software or ML engineering, incl. 3+ years leading engineers.
• Shipped and operated production AI/agentic apps, not pilots.
• Hands-on ownership of retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, monitoring, and cost control for AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Define AI and application architecture across the GDAI portfolio.
• Lead production AI applications delivery from initial use case to sustained operation.
• Set and enforce engineering standards for evaluation, testing, monitoring, security and cost control.
• Evaluate vendor platforms and mentor the AI engineering team.
