Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AI Architect to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of autonomous multi-agent AI systems. You will collaborate across engineering, DevOps, product, and healthcare teams to deliver AI-enabled software development lifecycle support.

In this role you will design scalable AI systems, build React/TypeScript frontends, and implement Java/Spring Boot microservices with secure, compliant workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and full-stack experience.
• At least 1 year designing production-grade LLM/Agentic AI solutions.
• Strong Java/Spring Boot and React/TypeScript full-stack skills.
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI frameworks and securing scalable AI-powered workflows.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, security, and data privacy.
• Ability to translate enterprise objectives into scalable AI architecture roadmaps.
• Available to collaborate with teams during Pacific Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable multi-agent AI systems.
• Design responsive UIs with React/TypeScript.
• Develop microservices, REST APIs, and business logic in Java/Spring Boot.
• Integrate backend with Claude APIs for AI-powered workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools for prototyping and testing.
• Ensure performance optimization across frontend, backend, and cloud endpoints.
• Implement automated testing (Jest, RTL, JUnit).
• Establish secure coding practices and architectural standards.
