Job summary

EY seeks a Lead AI Software Architect in the United States to lead a team of domain architects designing AI Agent Control systems. You’ll shape architectures for multiagent work, tool usage, state management, and policy application while advancing authentication, observability and anomaly detection.

You’ll collaborate across AI, Security, Data and Infrastructure teams, drive open research, and mentor engineers through an AI-native design process. EY offers a hybrid model and strong rewards.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and AI.
• Experience with multi-agent system administration and modern secrets management.
• Familiarity with AI native software development tools / code assist.
• Scripting languages (Python, Bash, Typescript) and software languages (Go, Rust, Java).
• Understand AI Native design process and principles.
• Experience with cryptographic methods of identity and auth.
• Experience with IDE, CI/CD, Git hosting platforms (GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Nvidia NVAIE, AWS and MSFT Azure AI stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design control harness intelligence systems including multiagent systems and tooling.
• Architect agent identity and authentication for large-scale enterprise systems.
• Design post-training and tuning environments.
• Develop synthesis models for AI open-source models.
• Implement and test architectures with benchmarking against evals.
• Create comprehensive AI Agent control frameworks.
• Drive agent design requirements through AI Native design process.
• Research emerging authorization architectures and frontier model proposals.
• Collaborate with AI, Security, Data and Infra teams for practical outcomes.
• Support business development activities for emerging tech.
• Present at conferences and assist IP filings.
• Hands-on development of advanced AI capabilities in agentic control.
• Lead a team of experts to build universal agentic control harnesses.
