Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Tableau analytics agents team, building AI-powered analytics for customers.

You will contribute to scalable, data-intensive systems and work with product managers, engineers, and researchers to push the boundaries of generative AI. You’ll collaborate in a fast-paced environment, shaping experiences with LLMs, evaluating ML models, and delivering production-ready software at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise engineering experience.
• Strong programming and distributed systems development skills.
• Experience with LLMs and agent-based architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud deployments and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers and researchers to build generative AI products and prototypes.
• Iterate ideas rapidly to achieve product-market fit for analytics agents.
• Design scalable agentic systems with attention to throughput and latency.
• Evaluate performance against customer use cases and ensure robustness.
• Implement logging, tracing, and debugging tooling; participate in lightweight DevOps tasks.
