Job summary

eBay is building a scalable AI-enabled Customer Experience platform. The role focuses on architecting agentic systems, orchestration, and tool integration across enterprise knowledge, APIs, and policy systems.

You will drive designs that balance reliability, security, performance, and cost, while aligning engineering priorities with customer needs. You will lead multiple teams, evaluate emerging AI frameworks, and provide hands-on direction from architecture through implementation, ensuring

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Proven experience architecting and shipping AI/ML or Generative AI systems.
Strong knowledge of modern AI system architecture and orchestration.
Hands-on experience integrating AI into production environments.
Cross-organizational technical leadership across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

Define architecture for agentic CX capabilities including models, retrieval, tools and workflows.
Establish reusable patterns and platform boundaries for AI-enabled experiences.
Architect interactions between agents, enterprise knowledge, APIs and policy systems.
Shape operation of agentic systems at scale with evaluation, observability, and cost controls.
Lead technical alignment across teams and communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders.
