Colossus Technologies Group is seeking a Staff Security Engineer specializing in AI and agent security. This remote (US) role offers mid-$200Ks base compensation plus meaningful early-stage equity.

You will build security products for AI agents, MCP servers, and related infrastructure, and ship scanning/detection capabilities from threat research through production. You should have 8+ years in software/security engineering, strong Python skills, and a track record in product/appliance security,

Qualifications

8+ years of software/security engineering experience.
Hands-on software engineering background with security focus.
Experience building security tooling, products, or platforms.

Responsibilities

Build security products for AI agents, MCP servers, and related infrastructure.
Develop scanners, parsers, rule engines, and automated security checks.
Identify and detect risky or unauthorized AI/agent activity across enterprise environments.
Collaborate across application security, endpoint detection, API security, and supply chain security.
Design security capabilities from threat research through production implementation.
Help define enterprise security for evolving AI attack surfaces.
