Job summary

Artifintech seeks an experienced AI Agent Engineer to design and build production-grade AI agents and agent-powered applications in a backend-focused role. The candidate will translate complex workflows into robust agentic solutions, owning from discovery to deployment and continuous improvement.

You will work with product managers to define requirements, build multi-agent orchestrations, and ensure reliability through testing, monitoring, and guardrails.

Qualifications

• Proven 7+ years in backend software engineering, with production systems.
• 2+ years building AI agents and agent-powered production apps using code.
• Strong experience with LLMs, APIs, agent frameworks, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Designing reliable backend services, REST APIs, integrations, and data models.
• Experience with tool calling, context and state management, error handling, and evaluation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMs and domain experts to map workflows to agentic solutions.
• Design, build, test, and deploy production-grade AI agents and automations.
• Create multi-agent workflows for complex business processes with defined handoffs.
• Develop reliable orchestration, tool integrations, and context/state management.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and data models to support agent-powered apps.
• Integrate AI agents with internal platforms and external tools through APIs.
• Implement evaluation frameworks, guardrails, human-in-the-loop flows, and monitoring.
• Adhere to software engineering practices: version control, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines.
• Monitor production agent performance and continuously optimize workflows.
