Job summary

SambaNova Systems is seeking a Senior RDU System Architect to lead hardware architecture for the SambaNova Suite platform, from board design to rack-level integration. You will guide build, buy, and co‑design decisions with partners, and ensure reliability and telemetry targets across platforms.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with SambaFlow software, ML performance, and data center operations, and communicate tradeoffs to leadership to keep the roadmap aligned with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in EE/CE/CS or equivalent.
• 12+ years of hardware systems architecture for hyperscale, HPC, or AI/ML infrastructure.
• Experience owning architecture from board to rack and coordinating with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Platform & Rack Architecture: define architecture of RDU-based server and rack platforms from board to full‑rack integration.
• Fabric, Power & Thermal: design the scale‑up/scale‑out interconnect fabric and power delivery with cooling strategy.
• Partner & Supply Chain Engineering: evaluate vendor proposals and decide build, buy, or co‑develop options.
• Bring‑Up, Qualification & Field Reliability: define bring‑up/validation/qualification plans and telemetry targets.
• Cross‑Team Technical Leadership: align architecture with software, ML performance, and operations; guide reviews.
