Job summary

SambaNova is seeking a Senior RDU System Architect to translate silicon to shippable, scalable systems. You will guide SambaRack-class server and rack designs, and define the power, cooling, and interconnect fabric needed for dense AI compute in data halls and cloud environments.

You will collaborate with hardware partners and internal teams to create specs and drive bring-up to production. You will lead cross-team efforts with SambaFlow software, ML performance, and datacenter operations,

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or CS.
• 12+ years of hardware systems architecture for hyperscale, HPC, or AI/ML infra.
• Hands-on in interconnect, power delivery, thermal, or mechanical for large-scale AI platforms.
• Experience owning architecture from definition to bring-up and production.
• Proven record of guiding external vendors and ODM/OEM partners.
• Strong written specs and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture for RDU-based server and rack platforms from board layout to full-rack integration.
• Select and validate major components, balancing performance and manufacturability.
• Build models to compare rack configurations before design commitments.
• Architect scale-up/down interconnect fabric linking RDUs into training clusters.
• Own power delivery and cooling strategy for dense multi-socket racks.
• Lead bring-up, validation, and qualification plans for new platforms.
• Mentor engineers and align architecture with partner teams and roadmaps.
