Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior Project Engineer – Systems Test Engineering to lead agile testing and integration for critical ground systems in the Space Rapid Capabilities Directorate. You’ll work with product owners, system engineers, and software developers to ensure testable, verifiable solutions that meet mission requirements.

Ideal candidates have a BS in a STEM field, 12+ years of systems engineering experience, and a current TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.

Qualifications

BS degree in engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or related STEM field is required.
Agile software development with test experience.
12+ years of progressively responsible experience in systems engineering.
Ability to work in a dynamic Program Office with government, FFRDC, and SETA personnel.
U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI security clearance with SAP eligibility are required.

Responsibilities

Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for space and ground software with cross‑functional teams.
Design and execute integration, regression, and exploratory tests for satellite ground applications.
Apply agile testing practices within Scrum or Kanban.
Coordinate automated tests within build, deployment, and verification workflows.
Analyze results, document defects with steps, and drive timely resolution.
