MITRE is seeking a Senior Agentic Software Engineer to design, build, secure, and operate mission-focused software systems and data platforms. You’ll apply agentic/AI-enabled development techniques, advise sponsors, and lead architectural improvements and guardrail implementations.

You will work across domains to deliver production-grade capabilities, with emphasis on secure coding, automated testing, and CI/CD practices, while meeting high reliability and compliance requirements.

Competenze

Minimum 5 years of related software development experience, or 3 years with a Master’s, or PhD with relevant experience.
Strong fundamentals in software engineering and Python, including secure coding and automated testing.
Hands‑on use of agentic/AI‑assisted development tools and integrating them into SDLC.
Experience designing guardrails for AI-enabled engineering and governance of outputs.
