Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer with extensive, hands-on software leadership to guide technical design and execution in client environments. You will read, review, and influence system implementations, ensuring architecture aligns with real-world constraints and runtime behavior.

In this role you’ll make build-versus-buy calls, prototype with emerging standards, and develop reference implementations that shape the practice. Travel may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
• 4+ years of professional development in Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Java, or C++.
• 3+ years deploying and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design for engagements and defend critical decisions.
• Review implementation and prototype in the agentic identity stack when needed.
• Set technical direction and review engineers' code on the engagement.
• Reverse‑engineer identity behavior in client environments and design the target state.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and document them for the project lifetime.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas before documentation exists.
• Create reference implementations and technical content for the practice.
• Grow engineers on the team through hands-on collaboration.
